Epikondylalgi, epikondylit

Definition:
Smärtor eller ömhet vid den laterala eller mediala epikondylen i armbågen relaterat till belastning.
Förekomst:
Lateral epikondylalgi är vanligare än medial epikondylalgi och är vanligast i åldersgruppen 35–50 år.
Symtom:
Smärtor kring epikondylen som utlöses av vissa rörelser.
Kliniska fynd:
Isometriska tester kan påvisa tillståndet.
Diagnostik:
Diagnosen baseras på anamnes och kliniska fynd.
Behandling:
Vila och avlastning. Eventuellt NSAID-preparat. Övningar kan övervägas.
