Fotledsfraktur

Definition:
Fraktur distala fibula (laterala malleolen) och/eller distala tibia (mediala malleolen eller posteriora malleolen).
Förekomst:
Årlig incidens i Sverige är cirka 250/100 000 invånare.
Symtom:
Ofta ett vridningstrauma. Smärta, svullnad och nedsatt funktion.
Kliniska fynd:
Deformitet, svullnad, palpationsömhet över benstrukturer, hematom. Patienten kan oftast inte stödja på foten.
Diagnostik:
Röntgenundersökning.
Behandling:
Enkla och okomplicerade laterala malleolfrakturer kan vanligtvis gipsas utan ytterligare behandling. Mer komplicerade frakturer kräver vanligtvis kirurgi.
