Näspolyper

Definition:
Inflammerad och ödematös slemhinna som putar ut i näsan eller bihålorna. Är relaterat till kronisk rinosinuit. 
Förekomst:
Prevalensen är cirka 5 %.
Symtom:
Börjar vanligtvis med nästäppa. Vartefter ses munandning, avsaknad av lukt, snarkning, nasal röst och huvudvärk.
Kliniska fynd:
Näspolyper är gråbleka, oftast glatta, mer eller mindre stjälkade, vätskefyllda formationer som i regel är multipla och bilaterala.
Diagnostik:
Tilläggsundersökningar kan vara röntgen, DT, nasal endoskopi.
Behandling:
Primärbehandlingen är läkemedel, och i första hand åtgärda orsaken till inflammationen. Detta kan innebära sanering av bihålorna eller antiallergisk behandling. I ett senare skede kan kirurgi vara aktuellt.
