Näsblödning, tillstånd

Definition:
Näsblödning (epistaxis) är en arteriell eller venös blödning från slemhinnan i näsan, genom näsborrar eller till svalget.
Förekomst:
Livstidsprevalens är upp till 60 %.
Kliniska fynd:
Blod kan strömma från näsborre och/eller ned i svalget.
Diagnostik:
Det kan vara aktuellt att undersöka blodtryck och puls samt Hb, eventuellt B-EVF och eventuellt koagulationsstatus.
Behandling:
Näsblödningen slutar som regel spontant. Näsblödningar som inte slutar eller återkommande näsblödningar kan remitteras för etsning eller bränning. Vid större blödningar kan det vara nödvändigt med tamponering och inläggning på sjukhus.
