  • Missfall i andra trimestern är relativt sällsynt.
  • Detta beror på förhållanden hos fostret eller modern. Kromosomfel antas vara förklaringen i 25 %.
  • Ofta relaterat till bristande moderkaksfunktion och tillväxthämning. 3
  • Maternella faktorer är anatomiska förhållanden, immunologiska faktorer, infektion och trombofili.
  • Det är svårt att identifiera den specifika orsaken i det enskilda fallet.
  • Sparsamt med dokumentation på att specifika insatser hjälper.
