Intrauterin fosterdöd

Definition:
Intrauterin fosterdöd eller dödföddhet definieras som fosterdöd efter 22 veckors graviditet (≥22+0), eller fostervikt ≥500 gram.
Förekomst:
Andelen dödfödda i Sverige och övriga Europa är cirka 3–4/1 000.
Symtom:
Minskade fosterrörelser och tillväxthämning.
Kliniska fynd:
Diagnosen ställs med ultraljud.
Diagnostik:
Efter en dödfödsel rekommenderas obduktion av barnet och undersökning av mamman för att om möjligt finna en förklaring till händelsen.
Behandling:
Noggrann uppföljning vid riskgraviditeter för att undvika intrauterin fosterdöd.
