Mikroskopisk kolit

Definition:
Mikroskopisk kolit utgörs av de två tillstånden kollagen kolit och lymfocytär kolit.
Förekomst:
I Sverige är incidensen cirka 12/100 000 årligen.
Symtom:
Ihållande oblodig och vattnig diarré.
Kliniska fynd:
Patienter rapporterar runt 4–9 tömningar per dag.
Diagnostik:
Oftast makroskopiskt normal koloskopi, men, i kombination med symtom och kliniska fynd, typiska histopatologiska förändringar.
Behandling:
Tillståndet går ofta över av sig själv. Vid lindriga besvär kan patienten prova loperamid, kolestyramin. Eventuellt budesonid vid svåra och långdragna besvär.
