Analinkontinens

Definition:
Analinkontinens är läckage av gas eller lös/fast avföring. Fekal inkontinens är läckage av fast/lös avföring.
Förekomst:
I Sverige räknar man med att cirka 2–10 % av befolkningen är avföringsinkontinent.
Anamnes:
Inriktas på omfattningen av symtomet och identifiering av faktorer som kan orsaka analinkontinens.   
Kliniska fynd:
Kliniska fynd kan vara lokala processer som förklarar symtomet och försvagad sfinkter.
Diagnostik:
Diagnosen baseras på anamnes och kliniska fynd. Olika bilddiagnostiska metoder kan ha diagnostiskt värde.
Behandling:
Behandlingen är i regel icke-kirurgisk med hygienåtgärder, lämpliga toalettvanor, koståtgärder, bäckenbottenträning (med eller utan biofeedback och elstimulering), bulkmedel, loperamid och prövning av analpropp. Hos vissa kan sakralnervstimulering och kirurgi vara ett alternativ.
