Ansträngningsutlöst bronkkonstriktion

Definition:
En övergående och reversibel luftvägsobstruktion som uppstår under och efter fysisk ansträngning hos personer med eller utan underliggande astma.
Förekomst:
Vanligt tillstånd, särskilt vid samtidig astma.  
Anamnes:
Andfåddhet, trånghetskänsla i bröstet, hosta eller väsande andning under eller pipljud under utandning.
Kliniska fynd:
Takypné och pipljud vid utandning. I vila ofta normala fynd. 
Diagnostik:
Diagnosen baseras på kliniska uppgifter. Spirometri är ofta normalt.
Behandling:
Regelbunden fysisk aktivitet. Undvika utlösande faktorer. Behandling med kortverkande bronkdilaterande läkemedel, inhalationssteroider och leukotrienantagonister kan övervägas.
