Definition:
Produktiv hosta de flesta dagarna under en månad i minst 3 månader under 2 på varandra följande år. 
Förekomst:
Prevalensen i Sverige är cirka 7 %.
Symtom:
Långvarig slemhosta utan annan förklaring.
Kliniska fynd:
Typiska kliniska fynd saknas. 
Diagnostik:
Diagnosen baseras på anamnes och kliniska fynd men spirometri, bilddiagnostik och blodprover kan användas för att utesluta andra orsaker. 
Behandling:
Undvika exponering. Eventuellt kan vissa läkemedel prövas.
