Nephropathia epidemica

Definition:
Zoonos som sprids via smågnagare och som ibland förorsakar hemorragisk feber med njurpåverkan.
Förekomst:
Cirka 100 till 500 fall årligen i Sverige.
Symtom:
Till en början influensaliknande symtom. Efter några dagar försämring med tecken på njurpåverkan.
Kliniska fynd:
Nedsatt allmäntillstånd, feber, blödningar, eventuellt lågt blodtryck.
Diagnostik:
Serologi med påvisning av IgM och IgG antikroppar.
Behandling:
Tillståndet går över spontant och prognosen är god. I sällsynta fall kan dialys bli aktuellt.
