Erysipelas

Definition:
Akut, välavgränsad och ytlig hudinfektion orsakad av streptokocker (oftast grupp A, C eller G).
Förekomst:
Relativt vanligt.
Symtom:
Ömt och varmt erytem, ibland även allmänpåverkan.
Fynd:
Homogent, skarpt avgränsat, lokalt erytem. Ofta illrött, lätt upphöjt med eventuellt svullna lymfkörtlar i avflödesområdet.
Diagnostik:
Klinisk diagnostik med typiskt utseende. CRP och odling är sällan till hjälp.
Behandling:
Behandling med fenoximetylpenicillin. Ibland behövs inläggning på sjukhus på grund av påverkat allmäntillstånd.
