Aortastenos

Definition:
En förträngning av aortaklaffen som leder till försämrad hjärtfunktion.
Förekomst:
Förekomsten hos personer >75 år är cirka 12–13 %.
Symtom:
Lång asymtomatisk fas. När symtom uppstår är dyspné, synkope/yrsel och angina pectoris vanligt.
Kliniska fynd:
Mittsystoliskt blåsljud med crescendo-decrescendo, ruteressformat. Fördröjd/långsamt stigande puls med lågt pulstryck. 
Diagnostik:
Ekokardiografi är den viktigaste undersökningen för att klassificera och följa upp tillståndet. 
Behandling:
Främst hos symtomatiska patienter med uttalad stenos rekommenderas behandling.
